Mobile Escape - Day 7
Today we tested our Locked Room to make sure people could solve it. Some people were Munchkins waiting to be rescued, while other were "parents". We discovered that when we worked together, and followed the rule of solving the puzzles before trying to open the door, we could solve the code! We rescued the Munchkins!

Mobile Escape - Day 2
Today we were planning on items to include in our Locked Room. We worked on creating elements that would need to be included in our Room. At the end of class, we discussed what pictures we liked, and then realized that we missed some elements that need to be in a locked room. It helped us plan and revise our ideas.

There is no school on Friday, October 11, for a District Professional Development Day. And there is no school on Monday, October 14 for the Thanksgiving Weekend.
Home Reading Books will start coming home when we return from our Thanksgiving Long Weekend. And a letter for Classroom Volunteers went home. The students participated in their Introduction to Mobile Escape and will be working on their Locked Room everyday until the presentation night on Oct. 23 OR Oct. 24. Details explaining which night is your night to visit the Locked Room is coming...
If you are looking for ways to support your child's learning, playing letter/sound games are of great benefit to many students. Play games like I Spy, but instead of naming a colour, name a sound and have the child find that. ie: I'm looking for a word that begins with the sound "w". (Window)
